Expectations

Code of Conduct.

MY-HACK is a community event built on learning, collaboration, and mutual respect. Every participant, mentor, volunteer, and judge is expected to follow this code — organizers will enforce it throughout the event.

✓ Be kind and respectful. No insults, put-downs, or disrespectful treatment of anyone — attendees, mentors, volunteers, or judges.
✓ Compete with good sportsmanship. Care about the process, not just winning. Play fair, and respect every team's effort and their right to try to win — that's not personal.
✓ Do your best, and believe in yourself. Whatever you build, show up with a positive attitude — that's what this weekend is really about.
✓ Follow directions from organizers, mentors, and volunteers, and treat them with the same respect you'd want from your own teammates.
✓ Bring disputes to the right place. For anything urgent, message us in the community WhatsApp for a quick response. For formal disputes, judging questions, or anything after the event, put it in writing to my-hack@mafiq.org.
✓ Respect ICM as a shared community space. Follow ICM's on-site policies, and the same laws that apply anywhere else.

Violating this code may result in removal from the event, at the organizers' discretion.

Overnight

Staying Overnight at ICM.

MY-HACK runs through the night — here's what to expect if you're staying.

✓ Overnight hours are held in separate gender halls, with mentors and volunteers chaperoning at all times.
✓ Stay in the designated areas overnight — don't leave the building alone. If you need to step out, go with a teammate or let a chaperone know.
✓ Keep noise down in rest areas so others can actually rest.
✓ Follow chaperone instructions at all times during overnight hours.
✓ Staying overnight isn't required — you're welcome to go home and come back, as noted on the FAQ.
